Low temp hot glue is just as strong as Gorilla Glue. That's an easy one too.

Ok its been a while, I havent been able to fly the cub in about a week due to 60 mph winds. But after moving the battery back some its helped alot on landings, and handling. Sometime I should do the aileron mod. Im already looking at getting a second plane, something with ailerons of course. Christmas isnt too far away. Looking at Maybe the parkzone f4f wildcat but the major down fall is that it doesnt come with landing gear, so no option for skis, so landing in snow would be somewhat difficult.

We've had some big winds and rain here too. I haven't flown outside going on 2 weeks. The wind is supposed to be down here tomorrow though, so maybe it will for you too.
The PKZ Wildcat is a very nice flying plane, but so are the T28, Corsair and P-51.
The T-28 is highly recommended for a first low wing aileron plane and it lands very well. The Corsair has a gear and you can easily add a Corsair gear to the P51. You'll want at least 2 1/2" wheels for your landing situation.
If you want to see how to add a gear on the Wildcat go to the Wildcat thread on RCgroups. It's a bit more involved if you want it to look like the real thing.
You'll probably want to practice some on the Cub with ailerons first.

Ill probably do the aileron mod on the Super Cub too. But I have to start getting ideas for Christmas, its already less than 2 months away. After looking on Horizon some more I think Ive narrowed it down between the t-28 and f4u corsair.
I was thinking about the f4f wildcat but the only reason I was thinking about that over the t-28 and f4u was because it was the cheapest. I know its scale but I dont like how the wheels look retracted.

You're going to like either plane. If you choose the Corsair let us know because there are a few things you'll want to do to it. Nothing big, just stuff to make it a better plane. The T-28 has a little less to do.

Im leaning toward the t28 trojan, mostly because it seems more acrobatic and versatile. I wonder if I should get the BNF or PNP. I already have a charger but not a reciever and battery for it.

BNF is cheaper of you want the battery and receiver combo. Otherwise, if you have 2200 mah bats, I'd just buy an AR5000.

I'd get the PNP and buy one of target hobbies AR6100 or AR6110 clones, 8 bucks, and an inexpensive 2200, 13 bucks, for it from either target or hobbyking. Thanks guys, the PnP deal does sound like a better deal. To bad Parkzone doesnt make the t28 an airframe only, then it would be even cheaper.

You're right. It's too bad it doesn't come in an airframe kit. Some of their planes do and some don't. Hard to figure why they choose one plane to have an airframe kit and then don't provide one for another. ;D

You can buy the individual foam parts and build it yourself. It's amazingly cheap. That's how I built my t-28. Be sure to buy the landing gear, cowl, and the stock pushrods for the servos. The rods are pretty long and I can't remember if they come with the fuse. I think they might.
I think I spend $60 or so on the fuse and misc parts. It's not too bad.

Thanks guys that is a good alternative, though this is an xmas gift and "santa claus" might get confused and not buy all the right parts. I dont even know how much I really want another plane, Id rather get my exi 450 flying before I get my next plane.

I would also recommend the T-28 over the others.
The F4F and P-51 are hand launch only unless you do a landing gear mod. That's a pita. These fly great, but again, you risk things if you are not really good at hand launching.
There is a fellow in the Austin club who flies a t-28 with some SERIOUS horsepower! It is so beat up you can hardly tell what it is, but when he crashes it, he just glues it back with styrofoam cup material or whatever else he can find and it flies great! So, after a while, you can upgrade these, too.
Also the F4F cowl is huge and very brittle. I landed mine softly on the grass and it nosed over and cracked the cowl in several places. I taped it from the inside and glued it for now.
Anyway, all of these planes fly great! Kent
