Very nice, you have talent. Is that painted on outside, or inside?

Ray this is air brushed It is not finished yet I still have to put a couple clear coats on it so that it will bring out the pearl essence and sparkle in the sun

This is my latest canopy. Thought I'd add it to this canopy thread. I hope you don't mind Phil. I sanded the stock Outrage G5 canopy and repainted it with a real tiger in mind: Drying after some touch ups Underside Top side The canopy window is going to get some highlights and I still have to clear coat it. All done with spray paint and tape.

I really want an airbrush now though. The taping for that was the toughest yet. Learned a bunch though. Mainly, the larger the piece of tape, the easier it is to take off. Pulled a few points off the stripes off, and I had to reshape them with very sharp exacto. No seepage though. Another thing I learned was don't use old tape. It's much harder to cut, and even harder to pull off. I just bought this scotch stuff the feels like I'm taping with sponge, but I didn't use it because I found this old roll. I wanted to use it up first, but man.... that's going to be used to mask off baseboards or windows... somethin'. P.I.T.A.
But really.... it was fun. Other than a few moments, I enjoyed painting this canopy.
So I guess this thread could be the designated to show off your "Home Grown" paint jobs.

Walmart sells some clean release tape works really good Also pull your tape from the wide side to the point and pull your tape from inside to outside of canopy like going over the edge of the canopy just some taping hints like I said before I really like that tiger paint.

Maybe, just maybe, and it is looking like it is going to come to be. When we start a "Car" forum we can have a "Paint Shop" board. Whatcha think
