Now, explain spin. Did it spin like a top or did the blades just spin?
If it spun like a top, you need to work on the gyro. If the blades just spun with no lift, you need to work on throttle/pitch curves. Keep in mind this isn't a coaxial where the heli lifts at about 50% throttle. You'll need 65-70% throttle to get this one off, depending on the curves.

Hey Sol OK the blades spun while it sat. The whole heli spun once or twice but primarily the blades just spun. I had zero degrees at 1/2 throttle and -8/+8 at high and low stick. I think the pitch is part of if not all of the problem. Now how do I increase th pitch angle at high and low stick? Do I play with the rods or do I do it with the TX?

OK guys at this point I went over my setup again and found my pitch wasn't as close as I originally stated. Needed two full turns on the small control rods that connect top the blade grips. Now I'm at Zero pitch @ mid stick +11 & -10 at high and low stick. Went out on the deck to see if there was a difference and I did get some lift off but now I'm getting tail rotation. It started to rotate as soon as it broke ground. Now I guess I will have to play with the Two pots on my gyro. Is that correct? Thanks in advance.......ron

Hey Ron, not sure what gyro you have, but on my radio, I had to set the gyro setting at 70% before the HH started. I am running 80% on my radio to get it to hold solid. Hope this helps you.
My gyro has no gain control adjustment, it is all done by the radio itself.

Thanks shakey. I have two adjustments on my gyro. I'll try to increase the numbers in the gyro settings and adjust the two pots....ron

Ok Ron, now you have to explain "rotate". Is it a lazy rotation or is it violent and gets worse with more throttle? Which direction?

You will have to check your tail blade rotation and make sure it is turning the right direction. And then adjust your servo a little.. Ray

To address Sol's question it rotates pretty hard, whips around. Second Ray, looking at the tail rotors the tail blades rotate counter clockwise.

I would move the servo back a little towards the gyro to give the tail a little positive pitch.. Ray

When I set the rudder servo horn to 90 degrees is it with 1/2 stick or no stick?

when you turn on your radio the tail servo should be centered then adjust your servo arm to 90 degrees dont need to touch the sticks for that at all

Thanks Phil did that and tried to lift it off in my kitchen just to see what it did if anything. Well after I adjusted it it spun like a top on the floor so I shut it right down, my kitchen isn't that big. Anyway after reading the documentation that came with the gyro I tried reversing the direction, big improvement. got it up real quickly and shut it right down but it wasn't spinning around like a top. It's too windy to take it out back where there is some more room so it will have to wait until a calmer day...Have a great weekend guys.......ron

glad your getting her tuned up I use a lazy susan to check out my tails before trying to fly them LOL if you do this you can set up the tail easy but remember to take main blades off

Well the wind died down and I took it in the back. Throttled up pretty far, it lifted, spun on it's side and blew out my metal gear rudder servo and the pitch servo and broke a linkage ball. Can I use a cheaper servo for the time like an sg90 for the rudder servo? Also broke a linkage ball. This is going to be the hardest thing to replace. Any idea where to get linkage balls?

Should be the same size as Trex 450 balls, Ron. 4.7mm if I remember correctly. Any LHS or online store should have 'em.
