Interesting find on the Scorpion. 1100kv vs 1220kv on the 650L. You wouldn't think it would make that big of a difference.
Did you try the 15T on the Scorpion or did I miss that discussion? Last I saw was you were getting the Scorpion with a 14T

Last I saw was you were getting the Scorpion with a 14T I don't have a 15T for the Scorp yet.So I loose 2200 RPM on the motor and I haven't figured the RPM on the head yet. Elk,how many toofs are on the main gear? I need a 16T but they are out of stock world wide. Anybody know where I can find a 16T pinion for a 5mm shaft(not 6mm)with MOD 7 toothing? When I get the 15T I ordered last night,I'll put the Scorp back on and try messing with throttle curves to get more head speed and also take out some pitch ;D

Yea,,,,I'm perplexed on the scorpion too. How much noticeable difference you see in the 600 over the 500?? I got my first idle up this morning and the stock 650L is more powerful on the 600 than the stock 550L was on the 500.Not by much though.As far as climb outs and punches,the 500 with it's Scorpion was waaaayyy more ballsie. But,for the short time the Scorp was on the 600 I could tell it was way more powerful than the 650L.So we'll soon see. I'm still curious about the roll rate and flip speed.Didn't try any.Wanted to check all the links and stuff after the first full pack before getting inverted.

Main gear is 170T,,,I'm running the 15T on it. I assume the 15T Aligh pinion won't work on the scorp?
The 650L is running pretty hot,,,it gets around 135 degrees each flight no matter how agressive I fly it. I haven't run it straight 100% yet,,that will be my next test,,,I'm looking at nothing but rain the next few days,,,I'm bummed!
Yea,,,the 16T is what you need on the 1100kv scorp, that will put you within 90 rpms of the 1220kv with the 15T.

Oh,I did try the Helicommand late in the pack. I didn't set mine up so I don't know about it's sensitivity or anything but on the 600 I can't see a noticable difference with or without it.Maybe a little more drift without??? It hovers hands free with or without the HC though. Also,in idle up I had to bring the gain on my gyro back down to 50%. Now I understand the switch for dual rates.I take off in normal with the gain at 70% and then when I click idle up I switch from 0 to 1 on the gyro changing the gain from 70% to 50%. I need more batteries bad!!!!!!!!!! It takes forever for the battery to cool and then almost an hour and a half to charge. Hopefully,my next investment is a Hyperion lipo and fast charger.Doozer says he charges his 5000mAh in 15-20 minutes. I gotta say,the 600 is fun and I took it up pretty daggone high and it was easier to see but I miss the 500 already Buyers remorse? ?Maybe.Hope it grows on me later

If you run across any 16 or 17 tooth pinions for 5mm shaft with MOD 7 teeth please let me know.

I appreciate the effort but rest assured,I have more than a peck'n hour in myself.I did find 15T.Ordered them for cheap.$2.50 for two but the shipping is like $12 since I asked for rush processing and 2 day shipping which should be Monday.

Batteries,,,,,yea,,,,I have the Hyperion 25C 5000mAh G3 battery and it is awesome,,,,,compared to the generic 4500mAh 25C that came with my kit. More consistant power and a full minute longer flight time.
I'm getting the e-station BC6-10 charger along with a 30A power supply,,,it should charge the 5000mAh 6S in less than 30 minutes at 2C(10 amps). The Hyperions are rated for a 5C charge but a charger that charges at 25 amps are stupid expensive!
