What does the esc look like, because in the video it is yellow and in the picture it is like tranparent.
Also, just a random question, but what is karma in our profiles on this site?

The video is a test motor and ESC. I used an ESC that was rated a little higher than was needed as I used the same ESC to test other motors that required more power. The brushless motor and ESC pictured in the website is what is being sold. Also notice that the pinion is a press on. The kit will be using a Rhino steel harden pinion which costs more. The reason is because after testing with over a 400 full flights, the regular pinion starts to wear out. The Steel harden pinions should last a lot longer. These pinions require a 1.00mm hex driver to install. I wanted a pinion to last as long as the brushless motor -- hopefully forever. That way, I hope that buyers appreciate the quality and time putting this kit together and hence continue to buy from www.rtf-heli.comRegarding Karma, its something you get as like a gold star for helping. Under the profile of each user is [ Exalt | Smite ]. I guess Exalt will give the person you designate one Karma Point. -Happy Flying !!!

You did test the motor that is sold with the kit too right?

Yep. It's the same motor. Unfortunately, I only have a small batch as they are all now sold out everywhere. So, I will have to be looking to get a new batch of comparable motors and make a new video.

One more question: Are you sure only a lipo battery is strong enough, and not the stock battery?

The stock battery is a 8.4 volt NiMH -- it sucks -- throw it away. The E-Sky 11.1 volt 1,000Mah 10c LIPO is plenty of power to lift a tricked out 13 ounce heli. Nice acceleration on the throttle. Didn't you view the you-tube video Here is it again: -Happy Flying !!!

I know, I noticed, it took you about 1 second from no spin to take off. That doesn't mean it is bad to keep batteries that still work, even if they aren't that good. My question is if they would still work or not, doesn't have to work well.
Also, what other lipo batteries will work. Also will 15c batteries work. Any from xheli.

It took about a second because you don't want to throttle up too fast as the blades will spin out of alignment and you will get vibration. The programmable ESC is set to soft start. So, when you throttle up, the blades will start to spin slowly and pick up head speed.
We have not used a 11.1volt 15c battery. You can try at your own risk.

Thanx but still doesn't answer whether or not the stock battery will work. Even if it isn't as good.

It should work, but I don't think you'll get the lift as it is only 8.4 volts.

Why wouldn't it lift off if it lifts off right now with the stock motor.

I guess what I meant to say -- the 11.1v LIPO give you better lift than the stock battery.

I got the upgrade package for the brushless mod today. The bad part is that even if I installed it today, I still wouldn't be able to fly it since my supersskids somehow broke. I'm waiting fot the replacement skid already.

Well, if you need new skids, I have them in stock at: www.rtf-heli.com/Superskids.html - I however don't have airframes to sell. Hope you get flying again soon. Remember, document your connections so you don't get lost putting it back together. -Happy flying !!!
