The next thing is the tx. Would like to get a charger for the batteries so I can plug into the tx and charge. It takes 8 AA size anybody got any suggestions on a charger. Keep in mind it is the tx that came with the BR.

I use 8 nimh batteries I got from Harbor freight. the charger cable I think just plugs into the battery so if you have a computerized charger like the ones with the LCD screens then just set it to 1A manual charge for NiMh. I already had a 4 battery charger for my energizer nimh batteries for my camera so I just pull them and charge 4 at a time. The T6 radio indicator light is calibrated for alkalines so it turns yellow earlier on nimh batteries. So you use the NimH batteries all the way till it shows red, then go no further and so far I have been fine. My T6 radio is now being used for my GWS Slow stick night flyer so I only fly 2 times per session.

Dave man, you gotta get dialed in with the Spectrum TX and Rx's. They changed everything for me. Setup is simple now for heli's with everything mechanical and electrical. No guesswork whatsoever.

Dave;
I've been using the battery holder from my Exceed Blazing Star coax TX....
It is self contained and removes the whole 8 pack from the TX, has a plug jack that can be used to charge...
I charge with the Thunder AC6 and use the plug adapters that came with the charger.......charge at 1.2amps.....takes about 45-60mins...........but you need to baby sit or charge at a lower amp..
Also, been using the Ray Vac NiMh 1.2v, Monster Power cell NiMH 1800 Mah 1.5v and Energizer NiMh 2450 mAh 1.2v rechargables....Like the Monster the best.....but hard to find.
Since I can't afford a Spectrum TX.......I've learned to get comfortable with the stock BR TX....it ain't that bad after all..
hope this helps.........

Jdino2 How did you get the battery holder out of the BR tx. It looks to me on mine that the holder area is part of the molded back half of the tx and it also looks like there would not be enough room to use the other pack. Also the wiring from the BR tx that I have is not plugged in it is soldered. Maybe I am missing something. Dave

Dave;
"I've been using the battery holder from my Exceed Blazing Star coax TX...."
I charge 8 batteries at a time then install individual into BR TX
You can't do that with the stock Exceed BR TX.
However the Exceed TX I recieved has a place to plug in an ac adapter charger. I have used a 100-240v, 0.7a, 40va, 12v output ac adapter, but it takes much longer to charge the batteries that way.
Thought maybe you had a Walkera or Exceed TX around that you could do this with.........saves time charging all 8 at once with the Thunder charger....

Thought you had removed and installed in the tx that came with the BR..... ;D I do have the extratx from my Falcon 40 that I could use the battery tray from good ideal. Might also try to find the charger that you mentioned at the local Radio Schack. Dlan This is also great the only hitch is that the tx that comes with the BR will not let you plug a battery in. The wiring from the battery tray is hard wired into the tx Dave

True that. My tx was hard wired also. Since this batt comes with a male jr/futaba connector, I just soldered a female connecter to the positive and neg terminals in battery compartment in tx. Everything fits neatly inside and there is still room with the connector in place to still use the 8 AA batts if I want.

Dave;
Xheli currently stocks the Thunder AC6 w/ attachments for $55.00
Or the Dynama for $40.00..........
Both could be considered......I don't think Radio Shack carries a balance type charger with attachments.....but it's worth a look..

Now I may have to do this for sure ;D jd I have the AC6 charger and it looks like what Dlan suggest may be the way to go will have to look into it when I get home later tonight. Well back to work.
