Okay. I admit it. It qualifies as a crash Yes, the nice struts hung to those tough branches to the bitter end. One of the struts is still up there in perfect condition. The other is in a couple of pieces. Live and learn.....and forget and live and learn and forget ..... Well, I bet you can build another set in about 4 minutes flat. BTW, don't forget to add to your sig..." SC crash count...3" But who's keeping count Just a little mSR flying around the livingroom for me. And a side trip to the kitchen, which will be completely out of bounds for me from now on. Caught the blades on the fridge door handle and ripped the blade grips right off that puppy. Found all the pieces, screwed 'em back on and it flew like nothing happened. Tough 'lil bugger.

Well, the elevator ripped off of my T-28 at about 150' up today. Nothing left. Not even the motor. Just the servos and esc. I will be posting pics shortly in the crashes and rebuild section.

The gaping hole in my heart where the T-28 was has been filled by the Stryker F-27C. Dang its fun!

Wont be flying today, flying gets a little challenging when its blowing 50+ mph outside. And it gets hard to see when its snowing hard too.

Trying to get better luck ;D Anyway, I would have had to boost the crash count higher than 3 already. I've been out flying 3 times. The last one only had one crash. The others had multiples. In fact, I think I only had one or two safe landings the first two times...err, maybe just one ;D

That sucks, Gabe. Always kind of pissed me off more when it was a mechanical fault rather than my own fault. Don't know why. Now, post the pics. I love looking at dead stuff ;D Oh, and the Stryker looks like it will be a blast to fly.

Unlike a heli.

I flew yesterday AM. 5 degrees. I'm turning into a wimp. That actually seemed cold to me. I could only fly for about 4 mins at a time before my hands started to hurt. I'm back to wearing leather driving gloves for flying and they offer a lot of feel on the sticks, but not much insulation. I guess the days of flying in the minuses are over for me. Actually, it's the wind that get's to me when it's cold. 20 degrees in a 10mph breeze feels as bad, or worse, as 0 degrees with no wind. I flew this AM and it was about 19 degrees, with a tiny breeze. Now that was OK.

Flew today, about 12 times. All Stryker flights. Rained in the AM so my park trip with my EDF's got ruined. Didn't even get out of the car. Once it stopped though, I've had all three battery packs charging and just keep going. Getting good navigating though the trees at full throttle. Doing high speed passes at about 6' - 8' off the ground. I'm scaring myself on a few occasions!

Awesome. You're going to need that new motor soon. Sounds like the it's getting too slow for you already.

He he he (evil laugh)....been looking on rcuniverse at the Darkside Stryker threads. Got my 45A Elictrifly ESC already in the Stryker and I've ordered a heatsink and a 6x5.5 prop. According to the guru's it should bring me from the 60-65 mph range to the 80-85 mph range. Way ahead of you 19K

Today we do the R/C class at the school for the 5-6th graders. We'll be using a couple of Vapors donated by Hobbyzone and DX5e's on trainer cords. I'll be teaching the "ground school" class and be one of the pilot instructors. We'll have 2 pilot instructors, with one instructor backup, 1 repair guy, a photographer and a couple of our own Vapors in case the flying gets brutal. I'm excited. Will let you all know how it goes.
