Throttle points are the highest and lowest position of your throttle stick and getting the ESC to recognize them as your full and zero throttle positions is called, "setting the throttle points". Sometimes ESC's may not recognize the full range of your stick until these points are set.
As far as actually setting these points, let us know what brand and model ESC you have. Typically, you would:
1. Turn on the TX 2. Move your throttle stick to full throttle. 3. Plug in the battery to the heli. 4. Depending on what ESC you have, you usually will hear constant beeping with the beeps a second or so apart. Simply slide the throttle stick all the way down, and it should be followed by an initialization tone. This last step varied depending on your ESC though, so be sure to check your documentation or google it.

They have a video to show you how you on how to bind it first, there is a button you push on the receiver to get it to bind and to set other things the video's are right below the receiver on the HK website and right above the comments. Others have used this with the 6 channel radio with no problem THIS is NOT a Futaba receiver this is one that will work with Futaba so it will work on other Futaba radios where the stock Futaba rx will not....Ray Also do not power up the receiver as shown in the video with a battery play it safe and power it up through the esc so you have a regulated power supply!!!! Look under Blogs on this Item it will give a video on binding and one on servo speed. www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=14300

Thanks guys and Ray yeah I looked at the video last night and that's what I did. I mean that procedure is pretty. T/on TX, plug battery to ESC and push button. Problem is the red light on the RX just keeps blinking. Anyway here are a few pic's where I am up to date..ron ; ;

Hey Gabe it's an Exceed 30A ESC. OK guys it binds and again my thanks to Ray. RE-watched the video and I was pushing the RX button after I plugged in the battery. Plugging it in before power did the trick. Now Phil and BT you can go ahead and get the receiver it works with the Futuba 6EX..Thanks again....

Hi Ron that is great I was sure that would bind from what I read but you never know. Now not to throw a wrench in the fire but IF you EVER get a jittery servo buy a 40 amp ESC with a 3 amp BEC or just buy a separate BEC. Those servos can get starved for power and they will get flaky I just don't want to read that that damn thing come after you.. Ray
BTW nice job on the wiring and everything else it looks real neat and sanitary you have come a long way's!!! Ray

I have been doing some more reading on this little receiver if for some reason the gyro you have does not bind OK with this RX changing the servo speed on the RX seems to do the trick.. Ray

OK is the next step hooking up the servos and setting the TX? If so explain. Do I use the Futaba instruction book to setup the TX?

OK GUYS NOW I"M COMPLETELY LOST. Got the TX-rx to bind, played my song. Throttled up and the head spun. Servos moved but not all of them. Played around with my new T6EX and now when I plug in the power it beeps, no song, no throttle. Reading the Futaba book is like reading quantum physics to me? ???LOL.. I really don't know where to go from here. I did hook up the horns on the servos and attached the control rods to the horns..ron

If the esc beeps but none of the rest it is not receiving a signal from the receiver if it beeps quickly it is not seeing the throttle points.. Ray

Ronp which is beeping the model or the tx make sure all your switches are in the away from you position otherwise radio will holler at you and if the tx stays on for a long time with the model shut off when you plug model in it will go crazy beeping because its looking for tx but the tx quit looking for the rx good luck

No Phil it was the heli. OK I went to a RC discussion site and I found the values to input into the TX. Now I have my song back and there seems to be good communication B/T the RX & TX. It's OK that I plugged in the values but I don't know why and what they do. I don't like doing things like that. I like to understand why I'm doing something and what the effect is after I do it. Anyway I may have the Channels switched. Is the throttle suppose to move the left aileron servo up and down? Also I'm not getting any action from the rudder servo. Will keep plugging along. Where you you guys come up with the percentages to input into the TX. Is there a chart or are you guys just that good and you know what percentage works with what input selection. If so I'm impressed....ron
