Congrats on the new helis Bob. Both will feed the need on those indoor days. Can't wait to get my hands on that MSR.
Happy landings

A suggestion for guys getting the MCX and MSR....
When setting up a model in your TX,just set it up as a 4 channel plane.Way simpler. Just Aleron, elevator, rudder and throttle.

One thing I don't like is the cheap screw type servos for $139. but time will tell. I just received the MCX S300 today it's even smaller and lighter then I imagined. But I like it. Ran one battery threw it put it down and ordered the aluminum performance kit for only $14.49 from Cusker RC. It's a fun little heli but way to slow for a bigger room for me. I think It's one of the best first time helis for anyone. And just plain fun for the more experience RC pilot.

RWL, I've got those screw type servos in the mCX, Vapor and Cessna Centurion and have yet to have one fail. I literally have 100's of flights and dozens of crashes on each aircraft. If anything, I think the servos are overbuilt for the applications.
You can lengthen the elevator control rod on the mCX by about a turn and greatly increase your forward speed. ;D
Good luck with your new helis.
Happy landings

Happy landings[/quote] That will only help a little and you'll take away your backward speed. If you want more speed you need this. cuskerrc.webs.com/apps/webstore/products/show/552046 Bob

Looks like an easy mod but the longer elevator linkage works for me. I'll be watching this thread so let us know if this is "Snake Oil" or if it works.lol....

I just ordered the 16mm 'Cusker mod' for the MCX. I'll let you know how it works! I guess I'll need to get some stock parts though, as the MCX is what I let other folks fly who have never flown before. It takes only a minute or so to swap out the head.
I can't wait to hear about the MSR. That thing looks great for flying around indoors! Kent

All that does is change the ratio from center it should work fine I did something similar to a Lama it really made it fly faster. On the MCX if you remove some of the weight or shorten the flybar that seems to help alot too.. Ray

I was thinking about that but I can't see a way to move the weights at the ends.

On the one I worked on it had a seperation on the weight I cut it off with a dremal at thet seperation and made sure it still balanced out ok the rest of the weight stayed put but I dropped a touch of glue on each end to make sure they did not fly off.. Ray

Well, I stuck my trusty ole cutters on the flybar outer pieces last night. This pushed the inside part inwards 1/4" or so on both sides, so not only is the outer part cut off, the flybar is shorter by 1/2" or so. The thing is NIMBLE now! I didn't get a chance to fly it much, but will tonight I hope. It didn't seem to affect stability and it will still hover by itself. But when you push the sticks, it moves right NOW! I like it!
So between this and the new swash mod, I am hoping for a zippy little guy!! Kent

Yes, these are THE bargain. They sell out of these really quickly. What you can do is either let them be on backorder or you can get them to email you when they get more stock. It seems that they get more of these in stock about once per month. Sometimes a little more often. Kent
