One thing I don't like is the cheap screw type servos for $139. but time will tell. I just received the MCX S300 today it's even smaller and lighter then I imagined. But I like it. Ran one battery threw it put it down and ordered the aluminum performance kit for only $14.49 from Cusker RC. It's a fun little heli but way to slow for a bigger room for me. I think It's one of the best first time helis for anyone. And just plain fun for the more experience RC pilot. Bob I just got the 16mm 'Cusker mod today installed it no problem this thing is a lot quicker more nimble much more fun to fly. I'm glade I got the 16mm mod I think the 19mm mod you would have blade strikes.

I walked in to my LHS today to pickup some foam safe CA and guess what they were unpacking, their very first shipment of the Blade mSR. I had said I was going to wait and see if Eflite came out with a CP that small but I just couldn't help myself and ended up leaving with a BNF version.
In one of the promotional videos they show one hovering "hands off" and I thought..."Yeah right, maybe with one that they have tweaked and tuned to perfection". It actually does! How many other single rotor FP helis can do that...none that I know of. I took the thing out of the box, charged the batteries (comes with 2, how cool is that?), bound it to my Tx, and was flying outside in less than 15 minutes. It only took a couple clicks of right aileron trim to get it flying perfect.
My only warning is that this thing is so small and moves pretty quick for its size so it doesn't take long for it to get far enough away to loose orientation.
Long story short, the Blade mSR is simply amazing!

Installed and been flying the 16mm Cusker mod on my MCX that also has the flybar cut down.
This thing is actually fun to fly again! It's a little squirrelly at times and if you do sudden movements it will go easier into the death wobble.
But FFF is WAY faster! Give it a little left and it zooms pretty well!
I like it! but I will likely demod it, as I won't fly this thing much like that. That is my demo heli for newbs. But it would be fun to just literally run circles around any other MCX!
Now, I can't wait to get one of those MSR! My LHS said that it will be Monday. Bummer! I saw the video of it hovering hands free. That blows me away. Kent

You got that right about the 16mm Cusker mod on my MCX. I did not cut down flybar and I'm glade i didn't it is just to light and limited power it just can't handle faster and sudden movements. But it's fun to fly.

Hey RWL, if you have a spare flybar, you might want to cut yours down on the heli, as a test, if you are afraid of modding the one on there. That way, you can go back to stock.
The thing becomes a whole other animal.
All you have to do is take a pair of wire cutters and cut off the outer weights on the flybar. There is a line between the inside and outside sets of weights. Just cut off the outside ones.
Your heli will then become VERY moveable and it's much LESS prone to tail strikes.
Best, Kent

And try it out. And see what one I like better. Bob
