I finally broke my MSR Looks like a sad bunny... Yes it does!!! I can't see, but it looks like maybe just the blade grips? Sol, my blades also curve up. Since mine has a wobble, I thought maybe it was the blades. The wobble only does it when in a straight hover. Not when going fast. Just for fun, I took out my heat gun and heated up the blades. I made them straight and actually bent down slightly on the ends. HOLY COW!!! The thing is not so friendly any more! It flies like it's on steroids! I then heated them and made them pretty straight. That made it kind of in between. So yes, the blades curving up make the thing stable!! I haven't tried a new set of blades yet, or a new flybar to see if that helps the wobble. The blade heating had no effect. Best, Kent

Just blade grips.Right. Already had them. They came with the heli.
I'm considering the Microheli grips but not til the next break.

I use a jewelers eye glass on those small screws makes it easy to see but your fingers look like sausages. Ray

I can see them fine.Just can't hold them.lol....
Whoever makes these -2 size phillips screwdrivers non-magnetitized should be beaten within an inch of their lives ;D

If you have a strong magnet laying around, you can magnetize those, usually. Just run the magnet back and forth along the screwdriver. Or, you can turn it into an electromagnet by wrapping some wire around the screwdriver and then connecting the wire to a battery! Not a Lipo or anything with super low resistance, though!

So, the blades are supposed to be curved. And I just ordered a new set. On the subject of small screws, fat fingers, less than perfect eyesight and optical visors...anyone have a link to a set of those magnifiers? I'm almost afraid to break anything on this mSR in case I have to fix it. It's a challenge holding a magnifying glass, a miniature screwdriver and the heli. Plus some of the screws are stainless and a magnetic screwdriver just doesn't work on those.

Well, I kind of went stupid and bought all of the Microheli parts for the MSR. Here are my thoughts: 1. The CNC head is probably not needed. The plastic one works fine. At least I never broke a plastic one. 2. The CNC swashplate is awesome. It won't come apart (well not yet), and it is purdy. But the stock plastic one flies fine. You just have to put the plastic one back together after certain crashes tweak it. 3. The CNC blade grips are really good. I'm not sure you will be able to break these. So, you will save several plastic blade grip replacements worth with this part. This 'could' be the best part to replace, out of all of the Microheli parts. But hey Kent, how does the MSR fly now? ? It flies the same as it did before, perhaps slightly more precisely. This heli is sloppy anyway. These parts help, but not as much as you might think. I do fly this thing at full bore. If anything, it will push farther forward and ground scrape the nose easier when going full throttle forward! But, this is my opinion. Someone else might think it flies better than I think it does, relative to the stock parts. Kent

JUST BOUGHT THE MSR!!!
Sweeeeeeet! Is all I have to say. Been flying the bad boy indoors and outdoors all day. I've got 10 mph gusts right now and I'm doing just fine.
I got the BNF and hooked it up to my DX6i. The gear switch is the dual rates as you guys already mentioned. I used my own DR/EXPO settings though to make this bird scream.
Low rates on the Aileron Switch: All rates = 100% Expo: Ail = inh Elev = inh Rud = -25%
High rates on the Aileron switch: All rates = 100% Expo: Ail, Elev, and Rudder = -60%
With the gear switch set at "1" and high rates set on the aileron switch, I have eye blurring piro's and super sensitive control of the heli. She turns on a dime and rockets forward almost like a CP heli.
Best bang for my buck!
