Does the MSR "pitch up" in forward flight much? That was the thing I did not like about my 4#3B I have.

Hey Gabe; When you entered your mSR into your DX6i, did you put it in as a heli or as a airplane?

I did both actually. The heli setup doesn't work as well. The gear switch doesn't do anything as far as dual rates are concerned. Even when I set up dual rates manually and travel adjust, the servos didn't have as much throw as if it were set up as a plane with the gear switch thrown.
So now, I have it set up as a plane, I throw the gear switch AND I have the dual rate switch set to aileron and I have that activated to the settings in my last post.
I've taken her outside in light winds in the back grass area and she RIPS! It's perfect for a small back yard. The only thing I noticed is that on a high speed turn, you've got to give her a little rear elevator (down stick) or the tail motor won't have enough power to turn the bird on it's own. Basically, pull down on the elevator and jam the rudder over and she will turn on a dime.

You just answered a BIG question I have been wondering about as to why the dual rate wouldn't work with the gear switch (I put the mSR in as a Heli). Thanx!

Yeah man, let me know how those settings work for you.
I seriously have eye-blurring piro's with those settings.

Well I just got to open the MSR about thirty minutes ago that I got 5 days ago, my wife said it was not my Christmas gift but my bday gift so I had to wait until this morning, she even wrapped it. This is one sweet little heli. So smooth and quick on the controls. Can't wait until I get the DX6i sometime next week to bind it to and try your set up on it Gabe. Well got to charge the batteries and fly it a little more. ;D Dave

I've been able to take the landing gear off and carefully shove it in my shoe in my suitcase. Just need the airlines to cough up the check for my stuff and I can take this puppy to my hotels!

Well, I finally broke down and picked up an MSR w/ Tx at the Hobby Store. I'll fly it at home some then leave it at work sooner or later to fly in the warehouse.

Cool, dditch on getting your MSR!!
I have a million charges on mine, I think.
I think mine might be wearing out, too. Humm...
I have one 110ma battery that is amazing. I can fly the MSR with that for 6-7 minutes doing all kinds of things.
I have 3x120ma batteries from Horizon that all take off and fly for maybe all of 10 seconds. Then the heli comes down fast. I actually had a couple of the Hobby City ones that did the same, as well.
I don't get it.
I wonder if my batteries are all bad, or if the 5:1 is going bad?
Humm. Kent

Could be the batteries, Kent. I've got a couple of 138's (supposedly) from HC that only work half as well as they did when new. And they're only a couple of months old.

This is WAY better of a micro FP than the 4#3B I had been flying. I hope I don't break the circuit board. I just noticed it's like $60! But most the other plastic stuff looks cheap that might break.
