McK, Are you using -Expo to dial out the built in "excessive" expo? Someone suggested I try that. I can't wait to get this into a larger area. My work's warehouse has boxes all over the place right now.
BTW, Mr. Ditch is my dad...

I have been playing w/ the expo. I'm liking around -40 cyclic expo and still messing with tail. I did a little battery testing
after end of flight Bat 1: 5m30s hover and slow forward flight 3.65V Voltage measured immediatly at end of flight 3.73V Voltage measured cold (10+ minute wait)
Bat 2: 6m10s hover and slow forward flight till Low Voltage cut off ended flight. 3.60V Voltage measured immediatly at end of flight 3.69V Voltage measured cold (10+ minute wait)
If there is one thing I've learned in the last couple years with LiPos is that there is no better way to degrade a lipo than to over discharge. I think 5 minutes is a good value to set a timer till you can measure your voltages to get a feel for what your burning up.
I ordered 4x of the 138 flightmax lipos from Hobby City. $10 shipped for 4. I know people are saying they are performing like 100mAh but I'll just knock off a minute of flight and fly more times.
I put 12 flights this sunday as the family all stayed home. I even messed with my keychain cam mounted on the bottom with tape. It did not look that bad. The battery in the keychain cam is 2x the size of the MSR battery so I may look at tapping into the MSR battery to power it or just put an MSR connector on the keychain cam battery to use it instead.

Like the difference between a Prius and a Corvette!! But they will both hover hands off. The MSR is amazing.

I wouldnt mind getting something with a little more speed than my mcx. But I cant afford the msr right now. Are there any tips or tricks to get more speed out of the mcx? Or make it more fun?

That kit looks interesting. I wonder how well it works?

I think Akent installed a kit. Maybe he'll come on and answer, basher. I bought a kit, but haven't put it on yet. Was going to wait til I break something first. I don't fly the mCX much since I got the mSR.

The Cusker mod makes the MCX considerably faster. I've had it on mine for a few months. It makes it like you added a little nitrous to your Prius! Kent

Wow, a Prius on nitrous with bad brakes. The only good that could come out of that would be a few dead global warming geeks. ;D
Happy landings

Lol. Ill have to look on youtube to see the mcx fly with the cusker mod. Do you glue the metal parts on the mcx swash and rotor head? I might try shortening the flybar.
