Heehee!
The cusker mod is partially glued and partially pressed. The swash part is pressed on. Very easy. The metal extentions are glued on. Also easy with just a dab of CA.
I also whacked off the outer part of the flybar (the outer part where there is a line in the weights). It didn't do a lot. I think it made the thing a little twitchy when you move the sticks fast. It doesn't do anything really bad, it's just more twitchy.

Soooo, 5 or 6 batteries later, I got my MSR doing funnels in my living room. They aren't perfect yet, but it can be done.

Here is a video of pure boredom. Windy as hell outside so cracked open the mSR. I am actually trying to fly it instead of just piros and tail-in. I love this little guy ;D
Colin
By the way, if anyone thinks this should be moved to the videos section, feel free to move it.

OK guys need a little help here with the mSR. Can not for the life of me no matter what I do the darn thing has lost it's hover. I have leveled the swash put all settings to zero and adjusted from there. All the little b wants to do is lift, roll left and back and then nose dive forward. I can put all four directions into it and it does react but by then the b heads to the floor doing about 90 mph. Had it on the tx it came with then moved it to the DX6 and that is where all this started. Thinking if I moved it back to the stock tx I might be able to fix it but nooooooooooo What am I missing. I fly mine with a DX6i, Dave. Nothing abnormal that I've experienced. All default heli settings other than some expo and a throttle curve adjustment.
Check the head very closely for wear or breaks.

Did you set it up in Heli mode or Aircraft mode?
Also, check that the link on the base plate of the swash is set nicely in the track (elevator).

Dave Probably a waste of time, but have you checked your tx batterys? My mSR started acting crazy once, and I traced it down to a low tx charge.

Yup. Its specifically made to be set up as a plank with the Spektrum TX's. Way easier to control, expo works, and your gear switch acts as a dual rates switch.

This is fairly old, but I had that happen several times with mine after a crash. The swash plate comes apart!
You need to use the little plastic tool that came with the heli to push it back together and align it properly. Kent

Hey guys, anyone have their tail motor go out on the msr yet? I was buzzin around the house and I noticed she isn't responding well on turns. I will give her some rudder, she won't respond and then she'll over-respond. I'm guessing it's the tail motor about to poop out on me.

I'm on my third tail motor on the first MSR... And the second main motor... Kent

That confirms it - we fly way too much

I can get to a stable hover, then slowly the mSR starts a clockwise spiral. The tail never moves, just wider and wider spirals.
