Hi there, I purchased my MSR from Maj's Hobby Shop in Saddle Brook, NJ. The owner is an experienced RC heli pilot and the shop carries mostly Align helis and parts for them as well as the Blade series of helis. It's located in Bergen County, NJ. Not sure if you'd want to make the trek up to the shop but, he has a lot of heli parts and the owner and a group of people fly on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings. Thanks for the info, living here in central NJ I hardly get up there anymore, but I will keep it in mind. Dlan

You got a deal on shipping. The link shows $12.85 extra for that.
It took a lot of searching, but I was fortunate a while back to find a new BNF from a seller in Colorado for $79 (through make an offer) and $16 shipping to Canada. He made a mistake and shipped the RTF version, but paid for the postage (plus a couple of bucks extra) to ship the Tx back to him.

I think there's 6 or 7 of us Canucks registered, but only you and I are regular posters.

Kent...I invite you to spend a week here in Nova Scotia in February....when the wind is blowing hard and it's cold enough to freeze the doors shut on the cars and you have to wear so much clothing to avoid getting frostbite in less than 10 minutes. See how much you like the heat then ;D ;D ;D ;D

Here in Texas, the winters are the best time, averaging in the mid 60's here during the day in January and February. We can get the odd freeze at night, and sometimes do get ice storms, but those are very rare. So, yes, I do love it here, but not with summers like this one!!! But, at least you can play with winter toys! Our winter toys are the same as the summer ones. And without a lake to play on, there is nothing. Ugh. Best, Kent

Saw some pics of Lake Travis the other day Kent. Hard to believe how low it is. Same for Lake Powell in AZ.
Happy landings

Broke my first MSR part, finally!! I was really beginning to think this thing is truly made of some otherworldly material!
It was one of the blade holders that doubles as the head. Only split one of them along where the screw goes. I had spares already, so I only needed one of the pair it comes with. It took about 30 seconds to fix and it's flying as good as ever!
That's incredible considering I have crashed this thing at full throttle a zillion times!!!! This crash was in a tree and then it fell out on it's head.
There still isn't even a scratch on the thing! Not even the blades!
This little heli handles the wind about as well as the Honey Bee FP, too! I fly this thing outside all the time now, as long as the wind is about 5mph or less! It's sure a zippy little thing!
Wow! Kent

This set I put a very small amount of thin CA glue where the screws attach to the grips together and after many miner crashes stills fly's great. Now I'm doing more flying and less repair.

Well, I decided to take a closer look at the MSR tonight, as I was shocked that it had not broken more from all of those high speed impacts.
I found more damage!
The landing skid was cracked on one side of the main mount. Ok. I removed that part and tried CA on it. CA didn't want to stick to that plastic! Humm, I wonder why? I tried thin CA, no stick. Medium CA with a kicker. No go. I'm trying Gorilla glue now. If that doesn't work, then I'll try threading some cotton thread through there and then ca that. If that doesn't work, then whatever they are using on the skid of the MSR is unfix-able weird plastic/rubber crap.
Then I found that the blade holder 'head' that had broken before needed to have some brass washers (spacers) in there. I found that out from the manual with the heli exploded view. Well, those are available only with the replacement feathering shaft and it's dampers and washers. I also had that part, and it contains two sets of all of that. That kind of sucks, as those washers will fly away if anything at all happens to the head. The dampers should not fly away, and they were still in the head on my MSR.
Anyway, I'm just letting you know my observations, as I learn them. Kent
PS: I thought the MSR was flying fine when I found these problems tonight. For whatever reason, after I put the minor little brass washers back on the feathering shaft, it flies MUCH BETTER. That along with the other blade holder that had a minor crack in it, too. I can't begin to claim to know why, but the heli flies MUCH better.

Happy landings Not only in our areas, but if things don't improve for the drought at Lake Meade, Las Vegas will return to the dust from which it came! My wife and I went to Las Vegas this summer and then drove out to the dam, and played out in the desert. That place is in serious trouble. Kent
