Well, not at the MSR point yet, mostly due to costs. Will have to wait till there's some deals on those. By the time we pay shipping to Canada and exchange on our dollar, the $149 BNF version is over $200 CDN. Seems like a lot for a one ounce heli. So, I'll have to make due with the mCX for a while as my living room flyer. Unfortunately, after deciding to adjust the elevator link, I broke the ball off the swash. Couldn't see the damn thing to put the link back on I was getting better backwards flight than forwards and figured adjusting the link would help. I should have just added a bit of trim since it wasn't out by much. Now the painstaking (big hands and poor eyesight) job of replacing the swash. That should take a couple of hours fiddling with these microscopic parts.

And it's more fun to fly. www.cuskerrc.com/apps/webstore/products/show/552046 Bob

Any link for the directions as to how that kit is installed?

I agree with RWL!!!! This is THE mod to make the MCX much faster!
I bought the 16mm kit.
To install the kit is easy. 1. Pry off the top of the swash (the part with the balls on it). 2. Press on the round aluminum part onto the swash to replace the plastic part. 3. CA the long aluminum bracket on top of the stock anti rotation bracket to lengthen it. 4. CA the two short aluminum brackets to the top of the lower rotor head where the links go. This also lengthens those. 5. Reassemble and you are done.
The kit comes with good instructions. It really wouldn't be any harder than just replacing the swash. Gluing those brackets isn't bad either, and is easier with the heli taken apart.
You will like it, Sol! Kent

Oh, and remember that the stock links on these are one way links. If they are 180 turned, they won't go on the ball without breaking it... Plus, I use something similar to these when working on these tiny machines: www.esslinger.com/easyeyesheadmagnifier.aspxKent

Thanks for the detailed explanation, Kent. I may have to go that route. This thing is so slow forward, but add some aileron and rudder, it'll circle twice as fast.
BTW, does Cusker RC take PayPal?

Yes he does. I used the thin CA glue and all parts are still on after many crashes. I scuffed all surfaces with small file that needs glue. Bob

Well, I got antsey waiting for the replacement swash and the Cusker upgrade, so found a sort of deal on a mSR. It'll probably show up before the mCX parts. Shipments have been awfully slow these days, both from abroad as well as the US. Canada Post must be in their annual slowdown mode.

AWESOME, Sol!!
When you get used to the MSR, and assuming you will be using your 'real' radio with it, then you need to adjust the swash to the long balls.
Then, without changing channel 5 on your Tx (gear), it will fly great.
If you want to try loops, then flip your gear switch and try one! I have not been able to do one yet, but it's been really close! You need altitude for these!
Oh, and I think the MSR is MORE stable in wind than the HBFP! Kent

Yep, got the BNF version, so it'll be bound to my DX6i. And you're right about it and the HB in winds. I watched a YouTube the other day with a guy flying one of these things in major winds. He had perfect control of it. Just amazing that a one ounce heli can handle winds as well as the mSR does.

Akent - I have something similiar to the easy reader magnifier you linked too. They are worth their weight in gold for my tired old eyes. I use them whenever I have to work on anything small.

I agree with Akent but light is as importing to me as a magnifier so I bought this for working on my micro Helis. www.apogeekits.com/magnifying_lamp_black.htm

I finally have my MSR enroute. I found a RTF for $135 shipped. I'm going to bind it to my DX7 and bind the cheapo TX to my MCX and include it in the sale.$80 for a RTF MCX.

That's awesome, Mckrackin! I can't wait to hear what you think of these little guys!
That MCX should sell quickly. That's a good price for one RTF.
And where in the world did you find a deal like that on an MSR??? Kent
