That's awesome, Mckrackin! I can't wait to hear what you think of these little guys! That MCX should sell quickly. That's a good price for one RTF. And where in the world did you find a deal like that on an MSR??? Kent Used on RunRyder Classifieds ;D

It would look like with a small amount of tinkering the msr swash plate would fit on the mcx that would give extra ratio for faster forward flight.. Ray

So, what one could do is get the Cusker mod for the MSR and then use the original MSR swash part on the MCX! But to me, the MSR is already about maxed out with the links on the long swash balls and the dual rates set to high. It is a rocket like that, and a bit twitchy! Kent

I put the 16mm kit on the MCX and thats is maxed out and then some. Anything more then the links on the long swash balls on the MSR will be to much for the power it has Although I got my DX7 and it's charging up over night and I'll bind it up tomorrow and see how it works. Heehee!! Me thinks you, Bob, will go HOLY CRAP once you throw the gear switch on your DX7!
I flew my MSR this afternoon in maybe 5mph winds. It has the links on the long balls.
It wasn't doing very well in the wind. Humm, Oh, I forgot to throw the 'switch'!!
Ahh! MUCH better!
The problem in the wind with these is that you tend to be less than quick enough on the sticks before it overcomes the wind and goes 100mph in the wrong direction! This thing definitely takes some getting used to in wind! But it rarely gets too far out of shape to correct, if you are quick enough on the sticks!
I can't wait to hear your and Mckrackin's thoughts on this thing! Kent
PS: If your MSR ever starts to handle funny or pull strongly one way or the other all of a sudden, don't use trim, but get out the alignment tool that comes with it. Stick that on the head and push on the swash like the instructions say. Voila. Back to normal! It only takes about 5 seconds to do. I keep mine in my pocket if I'm flying outside or doing stupid things where crashes are imminent! I think the swash is maybe too loose of a fit for 100mph crashes! But maybe that keeps things from breaking? Kent

What does the gear switch have to do with the heli? What are your settings on the switch?

What does the gear switch have to do with the heli? What are your settings on the switch? The MSR has a dual rate feature on channel 5! How cool is that! I don't think you can get to it with the transmitter that comes with it, but I could be wrong. On my DX7, it is the gear switch. That enables a lot more throw. Otherwise, I have the xmitter all set to default, with throttle hold enabled. I am using heli mode set to a 90 degree swash. Kent

The first I noticed is how smooth and quick it is compared to the stock TX. And the gear switch on the DX7 relay turns it into a Hotrod. And I took the back off and turned that peace of metal over I hate that ratchet feel and got both sticks adjusted the way I like them. I can clearly see the importance of a good TX. Now I have to sit back and lick my financial wounds befor my next new Heli. Bob

Got the MSR today ;D
It's an instant favorite. Most fun heli I've ever had. Fast lil critter.Funny to watch the dragonflys attack it in flight.Gotta run from them though.I think they could bring it down.lol...
If I take it up really high, about 35 feet lol...I can nose dive and get enough speed for a loop.About 1 of 5 trys anyway.
I'm going to take about 3 or 4 mm off the arms on the swash to get more throw. Then I'll try a roll ;D I gotta wait til I get a spare swash though.Don't want to ruin the only one I have.
I went through all five of my batteries before I could put it down. Better get back at it.3 batteries are heated up and ready to go ;D

That's it. I'm moving to the States. I still have to wait another week, maybe a week and a half for mine to show up and I ordered mine before Ernie did. damn border.

After getting used to flying the Blade mCX, the mSR is kind of like going from a parakeet to a hummingbird. I've noticed an occasional tendency for it to suddenly jink off in an unexpected direction though, which I haven't yet figured out.

That's a shame Sol. I have heard you and others complain about that before in Canada. I wonder what the real problem is? Does UPS or Fedex take forever, too?
I wonder what the deal is with your MSR, scar? Mine doesn't do that, unless a gust of wind catches it.

Check the screws on your servos make sure they are tight. And look inside and see if there clean. One time mine wasn't flying right and there was one small peace of dog hair in the servos removed it and it flew fine. Bob
