After replacing the flybar and sleeve I have been trying to learn how to use the pitch guage. If the pitch is wrong would that cause it to get that hot?

If the pitch is too high it can overheat the ESC and motor.

I repaired the flybar and sleeve. I am trying to learn how to use the pitch guage, this is the first time I have changed the pitch. If I have the pitch wrong, which I probably do, would that cause it to heat up?

Changed the flybar and sleeve. I am trying to learn how to use the pitch guage. This is the first time I have ever changed the pitch. If it is wrong, which it probably is, would that make the esc get hot?

Yes the motor gets hot. The esc getting hot was something I have not noticed before.

Low Pitch 1-2 degrees, High pitch 8-10 degrees is where you should be.

Greetings, I have an Exceed G2 with the WK2602 Tx with an LCD display. I am trying to find out what the optimum Pitch curve and Throttle curve settings are for this heli. I think I accidentally changed them and I don't know what they were set to at the factory. The instruction manual only tells me what the V1 and V2 knobs do not what the % numbers should be. I assume they set these values at the factory since they fly right out of the box and I would like to know those numbers. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Welcome to the forum hoverin.
I've got that heli in the older FM version. The manual gives you all of the info in degrees of pitch or throttle in percentages. I found that to be the only setting info needed to fly. Possibly the new radio system is different.
You can also manually change the pitch curve by repositioning the collar on the pitch control rod on the underside below the main gear.

I am also new to forum and have recently purchased a G2. I am also fairly new to heli flying and maybe have taken a bigger step than I should have. Started with a simple counter rotating blade heli and got bored quickly. Bought G2 and out of box I can't get it to throttle up at all. On throttle up collective changes position but brushless motor will not rotate blades. ESC gets very hot. Could I have messed up a setting on controller or have a switch in the wrong position. Also have newer controller

Defective ESC or Defective motor..Probably the motor but if the ESC got hot it is probably defective if not that will shorten its life.. Ray

I tried the new ESC and everything works well. Now it looks as if I need to check all servos and blade pitch because it does not fly very stable.

One step forward...What is it doing as in: "It doesn't fly well."

In a no wind condition it wants to fly forward and left with transmitter controls centered. I need to add a lot of trim to have swash plate level.
