I just Modified the head again just a little. The stock washout arms are short without much throw most FBL heads have long one's. So I took the washout base flipped it upside down filed off the excess bushing drilled & tapped for a couple 2-56 setscrews to lock the washout base to the pins. I then took a couple of arms from the kit I had modified them and then installed them. The arms provide plenty of travel without bind it is kind of like an Align one at a very little cost just work.. Tragedy struck!!!! I had a servo go bad and ate my MCPX board!! A real bummer it looked and was working so well. At the price of a new board I will wait until the Copter X 3x1000 comes back into stock for $50 and try that at least that eliminates my tail gyro.. Ray

That's a bummer. But, the copterX system will be more robust.

Been seeing used 3GX and BeastX FBL for $150 or thereabouts.
Regular old 3G's are about $50.

Well it looks like My Huey will fly again and I am getting back on track after the melt down of the MCPX board due to a failed servo Ernie M directed me to an Align 3G unit for the same price as a MCPX board so that is on the way. Since HK is out of the Hedge servos Sol had some more from his secret stash I was able to purchase and there on there way as well. I have also installed a CC 10amp BEC so I will not lose any power.. Thats the plan any how.. Ray

Man it has been a long time since I worked on my Huey the Align FBL unit did not work out so well a guy I know gave me a new Turnigy BeastX clone so I am going to try that I guess. Time for some serious rewire. Ray

Let me know if that doesn't work out. I have a 3G I'm probably never going to use, be glad to give it to ya if you need it.
